We’ll carefully remove the product from your natural nails, even if it wasn’t applied by us. Please note, we can’t guarantee or take responsibility for the condition of your nails underneath if the original application wasn’t ours—but we’ll do our best to treat them with care.

FAQ's

1. I’m a nail biter. Can I have my nails done?

Of course. We have products to suit everyone, including those that add strength and help natural nail growth.

3. My cuticles are a mess! Can you help?

Cuticle maintenance is paramount to any nail service and is an integral part of preparation during your appointment. We will thoroughly assess your cuticles and can advise the best course of action both during your service, and how you can help improve them at home with the correct aftercare routine.

5. Do gel / acrylic nails hurt?

If your chosen product enhancements are applied correctly, they should not hurt. Pain can come from overfilling, allergies (usually to low-quality products), or heightened sensitivity due to medical conditions or pregnancy.

7. How long will my nails last?

This is a tricky question to answer. It entirely depends on how you look after them once you leave your appointment. If you follow your aftercare information and don't interfere with the enhancements, your nails should last and be ready for your infill/rebalance appointment in 3-4 weeks. If you’re lucky enough to have nails that grow fast, you may need to have them infilled/rebalanced at 2-3 weeks. Allowing your nails to stay on longer than the recommended time can result in damage to the natural nail.

2. I’m a hairdresser so always in water. Can I still have nails done?

Absolutely! With the right products to suit your work situation and the correct aftercare advice followed, your nails will be fabulous.

4. Do extensions ruin nails?

No! Not as long as your enhancements are done using regulated products by a reputable brand and are applied by a fully qualified and competent nail technician. At our salon, we use the brand CJP, a popular and trusted UK-based brand.

6. Do my nails need to be removed/soaked off for me to have another design done?

No. If you have correctly looked after your nails and have your appointment booked at the time advised by your tech, you can have a redesign and infill, meaning no soak-off is needed.

8. Why have my nail enhancements turned yellow?

Yellowing of the nails is caused by stains, usually from using products such as cleaning solutions, tanning products, or even making/eating certain foods e.g., curry. These products cause staining to the topcoat and turn the nails a yellowish-brown.

8. Can I have nails done while pregnant?

Yes! As long as your enhancements are done using regulated products by a reputable brand and are applied by a fully qualified and competent nail technician. At our salon, we use the brand CJP, a popular and trusted UK-based brand.
